Facial Acupuncture

Acupuncture stimulates collagen and elastin. Treatments consist of facial acupuncture, cupping and facial gua sha.

Microneedling

We use a professional microneedle pen that has small needles attached. The micropen penetrates below the skin layer producing small “wounds” that appear as redness. Facial Cupping uses special designed cups for the face. Facial cupping stimulates lymphatic flow throughout the face and neck and stimulates blood flow leaving the face “lifted” and rejuvenated.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE AND MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS?

Facial Gua Sha uses a gua sha tool that gently rubs the skin. Facial gua increases blood flow to the face.

Facial Cupping uses special designed cups for the face. Facial cupping stimulates lymphatic flow throughout the face and neck and stimulates blood flow leaving the face “lifted” and rejuvenated.

Microneedling also treats fine lines and sagging skin by increasing collagen and elasticity. 
 

How long does it take to see effects? 

You can see effects of both facial acupuncture and microneedling after the first treatment. However, lasting effects of treatments is by a series of treatment sessions.
 

How often do you need to get treatments?

For facial acupuncture treatments we recommended 2 x per week for 6 weeks and then a monthly maintenance program.

For microneedling treatments, we recommend 3 treatments in one year spaced out every 4-6 weeks.

What are conditions that facial acupuncture and microneedling should not be treated?

These conditions are not recommended for treatment: Pregnancy high blood pressure, epilepsy, migraines, patients who have had botox or plastic surgery. Patients that have eczema, psoriasis, active acne or open wounds.
